Introduction

The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is a flexible procedure created by the Kyoto protocol to assist the process of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction or carbon capture (or carbon sequestration).
Renewable Energies/Clean or Alternative Energies are forms of energy production that their sources are capable of keeping available over the long term, such as: Hydropower (River Water Energy), the Sun (Solar Energy), Wind (Wind Energy), Biomass (Energy from Organic Matter) …
Considering Eco-Efficiency’s focus on its social responsibilities, its commitment to the preservation of the environment and life, and given the global situation on climate change, and the commitments made by the country, require that efficient environmental policies and strategies be designed in the spirit of sustainable development.

Objectives

The conference’s lecture series and roundtable discussions aim to promote an interactive approach to Clean Development Mechanisms, Renewable Energies, and the use of technical information in decision making.

The Roundtable will be attended by decision-makers from the Environment, Oil & Gas, and International Technical Assistance Organizations.
